Prerequisites Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions. Power off the system and all attached peripherals. Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals. If applicable, remove the system from the rack. Remove the system cover.
Removing the M.2 BOSS card: Holding the blue tag, lift the M.2 BOSS card out of the system.
Removing the M.2 SSD module: Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the M.2 SSD module to the M.2 BOSS card. Pull the M.2 SSD module to remove it from the M.2 BOSS card.
Installing the M.2 SSD module: Align the M.2 SSD module at an angle with the M.2 BOSS card connector. Insert the M.2 SSD module firmly until it is fully seated in the M.2 BOSS card connector. Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, secure the M.2 SSD module on the M.2 BOSS card.
Installing the M.2 BOSS card: Align the M.2 BOSS card connector with the connectors on the system board and the guide on the M.2 BOSS card with the guiding slot on the system board. Press the touch point on the M.2 BOSS card firmly until it is fully seated.
If applicable, remove the I/O connector cover from the system connectors. Install the sled into the enclosure. Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
