In this video, we show how to replace a memory module on a powered R 7 60 XS before removing the memory module read through and follow the safety guidelines to protect your system from potential damage and ensure your personal safety. In order to remove a memory module, you must first remove the cover and air shroud to remove the cover, use a screwdriver to rotate the lock counterclockwise to the unlocked position.
Next, lift the release latch until the system cover slides back, then lift the cover from the system to remove the air shroud, hold the air shroud at both ends and lift it out of the system to remove a memory module, press the ejectors at both ends of the memory module socket to fully open, then lift it away from the system to install a memory module align the edge connector with the alignment key on the memory module socket and insert it into the socket, then press down firmly until the ejectors click into place to install the air shroud align it with the chassis and lower until firmly seated to install the cover align the system cover with the guide slots on the system and place it on the system.
Next, close the system cover, release latch. Finally using a screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise to the lock position. For more information or support, visit dell dot com forward slash support.
