To remove the optical drive. Remove the two screws securing the system side cover to lift the cover off the system. Identify the optical drive and disconnect the cables. Remove the two screws to slide the drive out of the system.
To reinstall the optical drive. Place it back in the system and install the two screws. Reconnect the cables and secure the system side cover with the two screws. For more information about your Dell system, visit dell.com/support.
