Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet, and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Disconnect cables that are connected to the components.
Remove the following components:
Air shroud.
Cooling fan cage assembly.
Heat sink.
Processor.
Memory modules.
Expansion card risers.
OCP card (if installed).
Power supply units (PSU).
System board
Middle top cover.
GPU air shroud.
Nvidia A100 GPU assembly.
Removing the power distribution board (PDB):
Unlock the plungers to release the PDB tray handle from the PDB tray.
Remove the screws to remove the Versabay assembly power cables and disconnect other cables.
Align and install the PDB tray handle to the PDB tray and lock the plungers.
Unlock the plungers that secure the PDB tray to the chassis and slide the PDB tray to the rear of the system to disengage it from the system.
Lift the PDB tray out of the system and unlock the plungers for the PDB tray handles.
Remove all the screws to release the PDB from the PDB tray and lift it from the PDB tray.
Installing the power distribution board (PDB):
Align the PDB to the PDB tray and secure it with the screws.
Align the PDB tray handle to the PDB tray and lock the plungers.
Align the PDB tray to the guiding pins in the chassis and lower it and slide to the front of the system.
Lock the plungers on the PDB tray to secure it to the chassis.
Unlock the plungers for the PDB tray handle and disengage it from the PDB tray.
Connect all the cables and secure the Versabay assembly power cables with the screws.
Align the PDB tray handle to the PDB tray and lock the plungers.
Install the following components:
System board.
Power supply units (PSU).
OCP card (if installed).
Processor.
Heat sink.
Memory modules.
Cooling fan cage assembly.
Air shroud.
Nvidia A100 GPU assembly.
GPU air shroud.
Middle top cover.
Connect any cables which were previously disconnected from the components.
Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system:
Replace the system cover.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
