How to replace the backplane tray on a PowerEdge XE7740

This video demonstrates the process of removing and installing the backplane tray on a PowerEdge XE7740.

In this video, we show how to replace E3 drive backplane tray in a PowerEdge XE7740. To remove the E3 drive backplane tray, First, remove the screws on the BOSS cable then, disconnect the cables on the backplane and keep as them away. Now keep the BOSS cable away. Hold the cables and carefully remove the gap fillers away from the system Now Using the Phillips 2 screwdriver, loosen the two captive screws, then slide and lift the tray out.

To install the E3 drive backplane tray, align and slide it into the system, tighten the 2 captive screws, To install the E3 drive backplane tray, by using the Philips 2 screwdriver.
