In this video, we show how to replace the GPU fan board, in a PowerEdge XE7740. To remove the GPU fan board, first remove the HPM assembly and E3 backplane tray out of the system. then front GPU fans, GPU cards, then remove the screws on the GPU shroud assembly and slide it up to move out of the system.
Now, disconnect the cables from the GPU fan boards. push the plunger to the unlock position on both ends of the fan board. Hold and lift the plunger, to remove the fan boards out of the system.
To install the GPU fan board, ensure the plunger on the fan board is in the unlocked position, then place the fan board into its place. push the plunger, to lock position on both ends of the fan board.
