This video shows how to replace the graphics card on an Inspiron 3891. Before you begin, create a recovery drive and back up all data before removing the graphics card. Power off the computer, and disconnect all the attached peripherals. Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer. To begin, Remove the two thumb screws that secure the left-side cover to the chassis.
Hold the tab on the left-side cover and slide the cover towards the back of the computer. Remove the left-side cover from the chassis. Lay the computer with its left side facing up. Locate the graphics card installed in the PCIe x16 card slot. Lift the pull tab and open the expansion-card door. Push and hold the securing tab on the graphics-card slot and lift out the graphics card from the slot. You have successfully removed the graphics card.
Now, let’s install the graphics card. Align the graphics card with the slot on the system board. Using the alignment post, Insert the card into the connector and press down firmly. Ensure that the card is firmly seated Close the expansion-card door. Place the computer in an upright position.
Align the tabs on the left-side cover with the slots on the chassis, and slide it towards the front of the computer. Replace the two thumb screws that secure the left-side cover to the chassis.
