To remove the hard drive, Loosen the 8 screws on the base cover of the device. Pry the cover away from the recess points near the hinges. Lift the cover up and away from the system. Identify and unplug the battery cable. Remove the 4 screws securing the 3-cell battery.
Remove the battery. And identify the hard drive bracket. Loosen the 3 or 4 screws securing it. Disconnect the cable. And lift the bracket out of the system. Unplug the hard drive cable. And loosen the four screws. Remove the hard drive from the system. To reinstall the hard drive. Place it back in the system. And tighten the screws.
Reconnect the hard drive bracket cable. And secure it to the system with the screws. Reconnect the cable. Place the battery back in the computer. And secure it with the screws. Plug in the battery cable. Put the base cover back on the system. And secure it with the 8 screws.
