In this video, we show how to replace the keyboard assembly on your computer. Your computer may look different from the one shown in the video. However, the service procedure is the same. Before you begin, remove the base cover, battery, both fans, heatsink, both IO boards and the system board.
To remove the keyboard assembly, disconnect the keyboard and backlight cables. Remove all the screws securing the keyboard. Turn the computer over. And open the display. And remove the keyboard.
To install the keyboard, align the tabs and thread the cable through the slot. Then place the keyboard. And now fix all the screws. Connect the cables back. For more information or support, visit Dell.com/Support.
