For full safety information, view the Service Manual at: Dell.com/Support Before you begin, remove the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
On the keyboard assembly, open the latches to disconnect the two cables from the MCU board. Then remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest. Partially peel off the mylar covering the two MCU cables. Lift it up and thread the two cables through the slots. Flip the palm-rest over, and remove the keyboard.
To install a keyboard, thread the two MCU cables into the slot on the palm-rest. Then align it and place it in. Flip the assembly over. Adhere the mylar tape to secure the two MCU cables. Replace the screws to secure the keyboard to the palm-rest. then reconnect the two MCU cables to the MCU board. And close the latches. For more information or support visit: Dell.com/Support.
