Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If installed, remove the front bezel.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Remove the cooling shroud.
Remove the expansion-card riser 1.
Keep the #2 Phillips screwdriver handy.

Removing integrated storage controller card:
Loosen the screws that secure the integrated storage controller cable to the integrated storage-controller card connector on the system board.
Lift out the integrated storage controller cable.
Lift one end of the card and angle it to disengage the card from the integrated storage-controller card holder on system board.
Lift the card out of the chassis.
Installing integrated storage controller card:
Align the end of the integrated storage-controller card opposite the connector with the integrated storage-controller card holder.
Lower the connector side of the integrated storage-controller card into the integrated storage-controller card connector on the system board.
Ensure that the tabs on the system board align with the screw holes on the integrated storage-controller card.
Align the screws on the integrated storage-controller card cable with the screw holes on the connector.
Tighten the screws to secure the integrated storage-controller card cable with the integrated storage-controller card connector on the system board.
After working inside your system:
Install the system cover.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
If removed, install the front bezel.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
Turn on the system, including any attached peripherals.
