How to Replace the Processor Fan and Heatsink on OptiPlex 3090

This video will demonstrate the removal and reinstallation procedure of a processor fan and heatsink for OptiPlex 3090.

To remove the processor fan and heat sink assembly, loosen the two screws securing the side cover. Lift the cover off the system. Identify and unlatch the fan duct to remove it.

Find the processor fan and heat sink assembly and disconnect the cables. Remove the 4 screws in reverse order and lift the assembly out of the system. 

To reinstall the processor fan and heat sink assembly, place it back in the system and tighten the screws in order. Reconnect the cables and relatch the fan duct. Place the side cover back on and secure it with the two screws.
