Hi there. In this video, we'll have a look at how to use the Dell Tech Direct file upload portal. This allows you to upload documents directly to the support staff to help in resolving an existing service request. To access the portal, navigate to tdm.dell.com/file-upload.
On the landing page, begin by entering the service tag of the affected system. If the service request doesn't have an assigned tag, you can simply enter "dummy" and click on Verify. Once verified, fill in the fields with the required contact information, including the service request number for your open case.
This ensures the uploaded files will be matched with the correct service request. Once these are filled in, scroll down to the Files to Upload section. You can upload a total of five files at once, which can include things such as system logs and screenshots. To upload, click on Upload Now.
The files will automatically be uploaded to the Dell Support Database under your open service request, where your support agent will be able to retrieve them and use them to help resolve your issue. You will receive an email notification to show that the upload has been completed successfully. And that's it. Thanks for watching.
