Welcome. In this video. We're gonna cover the process to enable debug blocking on open manage enterprise versions 3.9 and higher. This is typically used when troubleshooting issues with open manage enterprise, go to the hypervisor and launch the web console for the appliance where is installed from this console.
We're gonna scroll down to set up debug blogging. We'll click set up debug logging and we want to enable all debug logs. So we'll hit the enter button to select that option. Once that is complete, we'll click close as you can see, all debug logging levels are set from here. Once that is done, we can log in to open manage enterprise.
And once we're logged into open manage enterprise, we'll see a warning banner that tells us that debug logging is currently enabled and to stop debug logging, we'll need to use the text user interface for the console to disable that. And after we've done our troubleshooting, we want to make sure that we disable debug logging.
So at this point with debug logging enabled, we would want to troubleshoot the issue or reproduce the issue here in the appliance, whether it be with discovery firmware or whatever the issue may be, we want to reproduce the issue. And then once the issue has been reproduced, we'll go to monitor and troubleshoot.
And this is where we'll generate a log bundle and collect that log bundle for troubleshooting purposes. So from the monitor troubles sheet section, we'll click on logs, we'll generate a log. This will start a job service. Once that is complete, the download log option will then be highlighted. Once that's highlighted, we can click on download log and this will download a console log bundle to our local machine.
Thanks for watching and have a nice day.
