Welcome to VM Ware Carbon Black Cloud onboarding part one.
This video will cover a product overview, adding a user to the console, changing a user's role, creating a role, product documentation and support. In this video. You may see some options that are not present on your VM Ware Carbon Black cloud console.
The available options are determined by the services your organization has purchased. VM Ware Carbon Black Cloud is a solution as a service managed sensor that leverages signatures, cloud based reputation and unfiltered data to protect devices from malware threats and incidents.
VM Ware Carbon black cloud. Endpoint provides next generation malware protection. VMWARE, Carbon Black Cloud audit and remediation provides real time endpoint query capability and VMWARE.
Carbon black cloud enterprise EDR captures unfiltered data that can be viewed in the investigate section of the console to add a user to the console from the settings section, select users then click the add user button in the add user window, fill in the user's first name, last name, email address, phone number and select the appropriate role for the user.
A user can only be assigned one role after you have made your selections. Click save to finish. The user will be sent a confirmation email. The new user must confirm their account before their name will appear in the user's list to change a user's role in the settings section.
Select the user's option then locate the user whose role you need to change on the users page. You will see the role that is assigned to a user in the roll column to change the user's role.
Click on the edit button in the edit user window in the roll section, select the new role for the user after a new role is selected. Click save to complete the change to learn more about carbon black cloud console. Users use the Dell support knowledge base article link shown on screen to create a new roll from the settings section, select rolls, then click the add roll button in the ad roll window.
Give the role a name, provide a description and select the permissions for the role after the selections are made. Click save to finish.
