Here's how to find your laptop, desktop or all-in-one service tag. Go to dell.com/support. Click 'Detect Product'. You'll see your 7 character Service Tag and 11 digit Express Service Code.
Either one can identify your system, the Express Service Code is used for phone support. You can enter a tag manually to get the express service code for another system. On laptops the service tag sticker is on the bottom.
Some models have a flap covering the sticker. On Desktops the sticker is usually on top, near the front, or on the back by the systems ports. If your Desktop has covers for optical drives or other devices, check behind them. On ultra small form factor desktops, check underneath.
All In One systems have the sticker on the back. To find your tag in the BIOS, shut down your system fully, then tap the F2 key while powering it back on. You'll find it under 'System Information'.
Alternatively, for Windows systems, open a command promt, then enter 'wmic bios get serialnumber'. On Linux open a terminal and enter 'sudo dmidecode -s system-serial-number'.
Thanks for watching.
