Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 System BIOS

This package provides the Dell System BIOS update and is supported on Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 for Windows operating systems.

Fixes & Enhancements

Fixes:
- Fixed the issue in the BIOS where the system stops responding when you hot swap a Dell dock that is connected to an external monitor.
- Fixed the issue where the system does not resume from sleep after you undock it from either a Dell WD15 or Dell TB16 docking station with USB power share enabled.
- Fixed the issue where Dell Dock WD15 loses power when connected to a system with low battery.
- Fixed the no Turbo Boost support issue with specific processors.
- Fixed the WLAN connection issue that occurs when Secure Digital (SD) card is disabled in the BIOS setup.
- Fixed the issue where an incomplete warning message is displayed when you connect an incompatible docking station.

- Updated Thermal Algorithm for performance.
- Enhanced the supportability for BIOS attribute management through Windows Management Instrumentation service.
- Replaces Absolute Software service from Computrace to Absolute Persistence Module service.
- Enhanced SMM Security Mitigation feature.
- Updated the Embedded Controller Engine firmware.
- Reduces the amount of peak current that flows from a power source connected to the USB Type-C port.

BIOS Update Executable for Windows

Note: Ensure that you suspend BitLocker encryption before updating the BIOS on a BitLocker-enabled system. If BitLocker is not enabled on your system, you can ignore this step.

Download
1.Click Download File to download the file
2.When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.

Run the BIOS update utility from a Windows environment

Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file. The system automatically restarts and updates the BIOS during the system startup screen. After the BIOS update process, the system automatically reboots with the new BIOS.
Important Information
You cannot downgrade BIOS EXE/Recovery (RCV) to the version before 1.1.3.
