Installation 1. Log in as the root user 2. At a command prompt, type "tar xzvf xmms-1.2.8-2.tar.gz" to extract the files from the compressed archive 3. At a command prompt, type "cd xmms-1.2.8-2" 4. Type "uname -m" at a command prompt. If this gives the output of i386, i586, or i686, in step 5 should be i386. Otherwise the below will be x86_64. 5. At a command prompt, type "rpm -Uvh xmms-1.2.8..rpm" to install the application
