- Do not power off your thin client until the installation is complete. - You cannot boot into ThinOS 10 (2511_10.00xx) or later versions when you perform the following operations: 1. Disable the onboard Network Interface Card (NIC), Trusted Platform Module (TPM), or Platform Trust Technology (PTT). 2. Clear TPM or PTT. 3. Reset BIOS to factory default settings.
Upgrade ThinOS 10 firmware through Wyse Management Suite:
Prerequisites - Ensure that you are running ThinOS 9 2408_9.5.3102 or later on your thin client. - Create a group in Wyse Management Suite with a group token. - The thin client must be registered to Wyse Management Suite. - Download the Root_2511.10_0320_signed.pkg firmware to upgrade.
Steps 1. Go to the Groups & Configs page and select a group. 2. From the Edit Policies drop-down menu, click ThinOS 9.x. The Configuration Control | ThinOS window is displayed. 3. In the left pane, click Standard. 4. From the Standard menu, expand Firmware, and click OS Firmware Updates. Note: If you cannot locate the OS Firmware Updates option under the Standard tab, use the Advanced tab. 5. Click Browse and select the ThinOS firmware to upload. 6. From the Select the ThinOS Firmware to deploy drop-down menu, select the uploaded firmware. 7. Click Save & Publish. The thin client downloads the firmware to install and restarts. The firmware version is upgraded. Note: If the update fails and the event log displays Failed to install, reboot the system, and perform the update again.
