This firmware update is intended only for Dell Tablet Dock (p/n 6J86W) used with Dell Venue 11 Pro (7130/7139/7140) Tablet and Latitude 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 notebook. If your configuration does not include a Dell Tablet dock, this update is not necessary.
Before updating the Dell Tablet Dock firmware, ensure Tablet and Dell Tablet Dock are configured properly: - External monitor must be on and connected to the Dell Tablet Dock (HDMI out, DisplayPort out or both). - Dell Tablet Dock power adapter must remain connected to the dock and plugged into A/C power during update process. - The Tablet must remain docked in the Dell Tablet Dock during update process. - Do not Shut Down or put Tablet in Sleep mode during update process. - The Tablet display must be set as Primary
NOTE: If the above conditions are not met during the firmware update process, the firmware update will fail or not complete
1. Click Download File to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Save this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears. 3. From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop. 4. If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file icon appears on your desktop.
Prepare for update

Install
1. Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled Dell_Tablet_Dock_Update_Tool_46NG9_A02_ZPE.exe. User Account Control window comes up, click "Yes". 2. Package details window comes up, click "Continue" 3. Click "Ok" to unzip folder, then click Ok when unzip complete 4. Browser window with set up Instructions displays. Set up tablet, dock and display according to the instructions. Click "Install Now" button. 5. Click "Update" to begin the Update process. - If update tool shows you have a set up error, correct it and press "Retry" A bar shows update progress. The update takes approximately 1 minute to complete. 6. When complete, tool displays: Update Process Successful! Please unplug power connector from the Dell Tablet Dock for 15 seconds, then plug power connector back in to the Dell Tablet Dock for the update to take effect. 7. Close all windows opened during the update process.
