The following are the enhancements in OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter (OMEVV) version1.6.1:
- Provide user a choice to refresh the firmware baseline automatically (user chosen frequency) or manual. The choice is provided during the Repository profile creation/modify workflows.
- A new action/workflow provide for the user to import the ESXi/vSAN indexed catalogs from the UMP repository.
- Ability to refresh the firmware baseline based on demand. User can refresh the repository associated to firmware baseline to achieve this.
- OMEVV enhanced the firmware update job mechanism to ensure update job succeeds having the software components with reboot less update capability.
- Support for OME 4.3.1
- Upgrade support from OMEVV 1.5 to 1.6.1.
- Defect fixes
- In VMware vCenter, the host information is not displayed on the Summary page. Additionally, when you right-click the host, the Firmware Update and Blink LED options are not displayed under the OpenManage Enterprise Plug-in menu.
- Recurring backup failures in OpenManage Enterprise with the OMEVV plugin installed may cause the associated vCenter vmware-vpxd service to become unresponsive. This issue occurs due to an increased memory or Central Processing Unit (CPU) usage on the vCenter server.

Installation instructions
To install OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter (OMEVV), complete the following steps:
1. Log in to OpenManage Enterprise.
2. Click Application Settings, and then click Console and Plugins.
3. Under OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter section, click Install.
4. On the Select plugins tab, select the OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter plug-in version that you want to install and click Next.
5. On the Download tab, after the plug-in is downloaded, click Next.
6. On the Review license agreements tab, review the End User License Agreement and click Accept.
7. Click Next.
8. On the Review and confirm action tab, the number of logged in users, in-progress jobs, and scheduled jobs are displayed. To confirm the installation, select I agree that I have captured a backup of the OpenManage Enterprise appliance prior to performing a plugin action option.
9. Click Finish.
