INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS This procedure will assist you with extracting the driver files and locating the installation instructions.
1) Download two self-extracting ZIP files (3CC8-10.EXE and INST9-1.EXE) to your Windows Desktop. 2) Execute 3CC8-10.EXE first by double clicking on its icon. 3) The WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box will prompt for an “Unzip to Folder” name. Clear out the box and enter “C:\DRIVERS\COMMS”. Do not enter any quotation marks; enter only the text as shown. 4) Leave the check mark against “Overwrite Files Without Prompting” and then click the “Unzip” button. Click on the “OK” button after all files have extracted then click on “CLOSE”. 5) Execute INST9-1.EXE next by double clicking on its icon. 6) Follow steps 3 and 4 to complete the installation of the installation notes.
Open your Windows File Explorer by RIGHT clicking once on the Windows START button and select EXPLORE. Navigate to the folder C:\DRIVERS\COMMS\HTML. Select your preferred language by double clicking on the folder, for example ENGLISH. Double click on the file entitled INDEX. The User Manual for the modem will be displayed in a standard web page format. Follow the instructions for installing the drivers.
Any references made to a CD during driver installation should be ignored, and instead you should direct the operating system to the C:\DRIVERS\COMMS\DRIVERS\xx folder, where xx is the appropriate folder name for the operating system that you are installing the drivers on.
