Dell Update Packages for Linux can be used as stand-alone applications that ensure that specific validation criteria are met, then apply an update. Note: Update Packages for Linux are open source. See the Dell Update Packages for Linux Readme for details.
When installing an OS, be sure to select a Boot Device in CTRL+C. In CTRL+C, under SAS Topology, scroll down to the desired Physical Disk or Virtual Disk and enter ALT+B to select the device as your Boot Device.
- Resynch, Background Init and Consistency Check processes will always occur serially.
- When viewing SATA physical disk properties from Ctrl-C or other management applications, Vendor Identification must be translated as "ATA" followed by blanks. Please see SATA translation specification, revision 5, pages 24-25 for more details.
- When adding a Dell 6Gbps SAS controller to a system, the new controller may need to be added to the controller boot order in the PERC H200 BIOS / 6Gbps SAS configuration Utility.

4) Click the Save button. A progress meter moves as the download is completed.
5) If necessary, click X in the upper right-hand corner of the Download Progress Window to close it upon completion.
6) Double click the Icon on your desktop for the newly saved file. The Dell Bios Release Notes window appears.

Installation 1. Copy extracted files to bootable media. 2. Reboot system to bootable media. 3. Execute the batch file called flash.bat 4. After flash is complete, remove bootable media. 5. Reboot system for changes to take effect.
