This BIOS contains critical processor microcode updates. Dell highly recommends applying this update as soon as possible. The update contains changes to improve the reliability and availability of your Dell system.

Note:
1. The AMD Opteron 4200 series processor works with BIOS v2.x.x only. The customer needs to flash the BIOS to v2.x.x before upgrading to the Opteron 4200 series processor.
2. The SYSTEM SETUP settings will reset to a default value while the system upgrades from BIOS v1.x.x to v2.x.x. Dell recommends that the customer records the current SYSTEM SETUP settings before flashing the BIOS, and manually updates the settings after the BIOS has been flashed.
3. You can update systems with BIOS v2.1.2 and v2.1.4 using the DOS package only. Dell update packages are not supported.
Dell PowerEdge C6105 BIOS
DOS package install instructions:
NOTE: You must provide a DOS bootable media, such as a USB key. This executable file does not create the DOS system files.

1. Browse to the location where the PEC6105BIOS020600.exe.
2. Copy the file PEC6105BIOS020600.exe to the bootable device and renaming file to 6105V260.EXE.
3. Boot the system to DOS by using the bootable device.
4. Run the 6105V260.EXE under DOS.
5. Waiting the update process completion automatically.

Windows package install instructions:
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded C6105_BIOS_7DWFR_2.6.0.EXE and C6105_BIOS_7DWFR_WN64_2.6.0.EXE files, and then double-click to launch update.
2. Click Install icon to continue.
3. Waiting the update process completion automatically.

Linux package install instructions:
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded C6105_BIOS_7DWFR_LN_2.6.0.BIN file and run the file in command line.
2. Waiting the BIOS image loading finish and system backs to command line.
3. Run the reboot=k to proceed the BIOS update.
4. Waiting the update process completion automatically.
