Fixes & Enhancements
Fixed
- Fixed an issue where iSCSI settings configured through RACADM were not reflected in BIOS.
- Fixed an issue where Linux reported the warning:" WQBC data block query control method not found".
Enhancements
- This product release may contain security updates. Security fix information is available on the Dell Security Advisories and Notices website.
Important Information
- It's expected behavior for UEFI0074 to be recorded in Lifecycle log or observed during the initial BIOS POST when upgrading/downgrading BIOS from v1.18.1 (or older) to v1.19.1 (or newer).
- Please make sure the BIOS has been updated to 1.7.4 (or newer revision) before you update the iDRAC firmware to Rev. 6.00.30.00 (or newer revision) to avoid an issue, the system would halt at an early boot during BIOS-iDRAC handshake while displaying the message "initializing data processing unit". This issue may occur after AC power cycle or while updating a CPLD firmware.
- After the implementation of a security enhancement, BIOS version 1.9.2 made the SGX sealed data inaccessible, preventing access by older BIOS. As a result, it is not advisable to downgrade the BIOS on an Intel SGX-enabled system to a previous version. Intel Software Guard Extensions Data Center Attestation Primitives (Intel SGX DCAP) and Intel Software Guard Extensions Provisioning Certification Service (Intel SGX PCS) users must update their BIOS to version 1.9.2 or newer if they plan to verify collateral with the Intel IAS-LIV enforcement server after January 17, 2023.
- Disabling the CPU Physical Address Limit option from the BIOS setup menu enables 5-level paging. However, enabling the CPU Physical Address Limit option may cause the operating system to stop at the driver verifier DMA violation test with a blue screen error when booting from an operating system that does not support 5-level paging, such as Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and so on.
- When updating the BIOS for the first time from version 1.4.4 or earlier versions to a later version, the Correctable Error Logging (CEL) option is Disabled by default.
