Fixes & Enhancements
Change summary: (1) TLR support in SAS2 drivers for OEM SAS1 tape drives - Windows driver: NEW FUNCTIONALITY: First, for a tape device, check for support for VPD Page 90. If so, this is a SAS2 tape device and we can set TLR ON. If not, then check for the particular OEM vendor. If so, send the vendor-unique command to enable TLR. If this command succeeds, then set TLR ON for this device. (2) Add support for 8MB+ IO's to windows drivers: NEW FUNCTIONALITY: Removed upper limit check on driver configuration parameter MaxSGList within FindAdapter function (module ca_init.c) to allow any upper limit to be specified (maximum value for MaxSGList was 254).
Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.

This procedure installs the LSI_SAS2.SYS driver onto a new or existing Windows Server 2008 system. Depending upon the media used to distribute LSI drivers (web or CD-ROM) and the type of adapter, you will create a driver install package on some type of accessible media. This can be a diskette, CD or DVD, or USB flash drive. The driver install package can also be placed on a hard disk for driver upgrades only.
Copy the files listed in this section to a folder on the desired media as shown below. You will use this driver package during the installation process.
lsi_sas2.inf lsi_sas2.sys lsinodrv.inf svlhx86.cat (for x86) or svlhia64.cat (for IA64) or svlhx64.cat (for x64)
Note: Windows Server 2008 drivers must be either Release signed (by LSI) or WHQL logo signed (by Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs) to be installed on Server 2008. Any modifications to any of the above files will invalidate the digital signature of the package and Server 2008 will not install the driver.
