It's important to make sure you can login to Windows using your password or recovery questions before you proceed.

If you plan on continuing the use of the Dell Data Protection | Access or Wave Systems' EMBASSY Trust Suite (ETS) security products, then DO NOT apply this software update to your Dell ControlVault system.
Warning: Do not turn off your computer or disconnect from your power source while updating the BIOS or you may harm your computer. During the update, your computer will restart and you will briefly see a black screen.
