Dell EMC iDRAC Service Module Installer for OS DUP, v3.4.0

iDRAC Service Module (iSM) is a lightweight software service that better integrates operating system (OS) features with iDRAC and can be installed on Dell’s 12th or later generation of PowerEdge servers. iSM provides OS-related information to the iDRAC and adds capabilities such as LC log event replication into the OS log, WMI support (including storage), iDRAC SNMP alerts via OS, iDRAC hard reset and remote full Power Cycle. iSM automates SupportAssist report collection process for iDRAC leading to faster issue resolution. iSM has very little impact on the host processor and smaller memory footprint than "in-band" agents such as Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA), thus expanding iDRAC management into supported host operating systems.

Fixes & Enhancements

Applicable for Microsoft Windows OS only.
- Fix for ASR event "Watchdog Timer Expired" that will be logged when Windows Management Instrumentation is not running on the host OS.

Applicable for Linux OS only.
- iSM will now only enable ip_forward global settings on the host OS only when iDRAC Access via Host OS feature is enabled.

For Windows & Linux:
- TLS protection enabled for securing iSM to iDRAC communication over OS-BMC Pass-through.
- Single sign-on(SSO) to iDRAC GUI from Host OS administrator's desktop.

For Windows OS only:
- SupportAssist Auto Dispatch for Disks (for below two events) - Microsoft Windows only.
- Predictive failure reported for physical disk.
- A bad disk block on [device] cannot be reassigned during a write operation.

For Linux OS only:
- iSM now also allows IPv6 communication between iSM to iDRAC over OS-BMC Pass-through on Linux Operating Systems.
