Symptoms

Jobs created from a "Find - Microsoft Office Outlook .PST" activity fail to add PST's with long file names. When this occurs the following error is logged in the Worker ExContainerDiscoveryJBC.log when processing the job:
CExContainerDiscoveryTask::SaveDataSrcToDB|ERROR-LOGD|Unable to save because one or more property value(s) is invalid. (0x86041416)|CExContainerDiscoveryTask.cpp(794)

If verbose logging is enabled the logging message will also be logged indicating the PST was not added:
CExContainerDiscoveryTask::FileSearchCallback|VERBOSE|Failed to add datasource to group.|CExContainerDiscoveryTask.cpp(348)

Cause

The file name length supported in the database for PST names is limited to 64 characters.

Resolution

To workaround the issue rename PST files with filenames longer than 64 characters to a filename 64 characters or fewer.  Re-run the PST discovery activity and the PST's will be discoverable and added to the PST group.
