Cause
The feature requires specific WMI capabilities which are not provided by non-Windows NAS storage. The same behavior is noted across the industry (Unity, Isilon, NetApp, so on).
Resolution
Workaround: Use Windows Server connected using block to serve out an SMB share for UPD storage.
