The network icon stays as Internet-connected status after LAN cable is unplugged for a few seconds.

Causa
There is some delay when transmitting the Serdes Link signal to MDI inside the transceiver. This causes the Network connection icon to show connected after unplugging the LAN cable.
Resolución
After LAN cable is unplugged, wait for 30 seconds and the Internet icon will show disconnected.
