Reason code: 170061 (The request to establish an extent failed. The maximum of sessions has been exceeded)

EMCSNAP fails to create a new session with reason code 170061.


 

Cause

Either the limit of 16 sessions per device, or of 64 sessions per Subsystem Identifier (SSID), has been reached.

Resolution


Use one of the following options to reduce or remove SNAP sessions before rerunning the failed SNAP job:

  • Wait for previous SNAP sessions to complete
  • Use the STOP SNAP command.
  • Use the CLEANUP EXTENT TRACK command to remove old SNAP sessions.
