Scenariusz

W tym scenariuszu użytkownik ma urządzenie PowerFlex 16G i wprowadza własny obraz systemu Red Hat Enterprise Linux dla węzłów MVM (PFMP).

  • Redhat Enterprise Linux 8.10

Instalacja PFMP kończy się niepowodzeniem w drugim etapie przy 74%.

W bedrock.log widoczny jest następujący błąd:

fatal: [host1]: FAILED! => changed=false

Cause

CMO wymaga UMASK 022 do prawidłowej konfiguracji wykresów Helm. UMASK 027 zapewnia uprawnienia root z uprawnieniami rwx, grupę z uprawnieniami r-x i bez uprawnień dla innych.

Resolution

Rozwiązanie:

Zmodyfikuj wartości UMASK we wszystkich trzech węzłach MVM (PFMP).

Aby zmienić UMASK na 0022:

  1. Aktualizowanie wartości UMASK 
vi /etc/login.defs
   Update the line UMASK 027 ---> UMASK 022
   save it.
  1. Załaduj konfigurację:
source /etc/profile
  1. Wyjdź z powłoki i zaloguj się ponownie

Najnowsza konfiguracja zostanie zaktualizowana. #Testowanie: Jeśli utworzysz nowy plik, zostanie on utworzony z uprawnieniami 644.

Po zmodyfikowaniu wartości:

  • Resetowanie instalatora PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/reset_installer.sh
  • Konfigurowanie instalatora PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/setup_installer.sh
  • Inicjowanie instalacji PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/install_PFMP.sh

Symptom: The PowerFlex management platform installation process requires that the umask be set to the Linux default (022). If you have changed the default umask setting, the helm images do not have the correct permissions when it comes time to pull the images.
 
Recommended action: Change umask to 022.
