Observed Behavior

• PPDMA DM5510 Alert EVT-FILESYS-00025 - the file system has been disabled.
• The file system cannot be re‑enabled until the system time is corrected within the drift threshold.

Security Clock Skew Violation

The file system is disabled when the system clock drifts beyond the configured security threshold.

• The detected clock skew exceeds the value.
• Filesys interprets the excess skew as a security violation.
• Resulting action: The file system is disabled and cannot be re‑enabled until the system time is corrected within the drift threshold.

Contributing Factors

• Incorrect Network Time Protocol (NTP) configuration or loss of time synchronization
• Manual adjustments to the system clock that push it outside the allowed range
• Hardware clock failures causing persistent time drift
• System load or virtualization environments that delay time updates

Continuing operation with a disabled file system may lead to data inaccessibility and service disruption.

Determine the source of the time drift and correct the system time. Then enable the file system.
