The system reports the following alert when an OS drive has failed or is imminent to fail, placing the system in a critical state:

Cause
OS Drive Failure Leading to Critical System State
An operating‑system (OS) drive has either failed outright or is exhibiting signs of imminent failure. This condition places the entire system in a critical state because the OS cannot reliably access its primary storage.
- The event generates the alert
PPDMADM5510 - EVT‑STORAGE‑00037, indicating a storage‑related failure. - The failure code and accompanying details (enclosure number, disk identifier, serial numbers, part number, model information, and capacity) are included in the alert to pinpoint the affected drive.
- If a second OS drive fails while the system is already in this critical condition, the system will automatically shut down to protect data integrity.
Resolution
Replace a failed or copy recovery OS drive.
