Instructions

This is the preferred method for resetting lost or forgotten iDRAC passwords for DD3300s. It requires access to the Data Domain command line.

Assistance from Data Domain support is required, as commands must be run from bash mode. Contact your contracted support provider for assistance.

Note before proceeding:
  • Have you tried the default DD3300 iDRAC username and password? root / SN or root / abc123 or root / calvin
  • If you believe that you know the iDRAC password and it is not working, make sure to type it manually rather than copying and pasting it. Copy and paste does not work for passwords in iDRAC even for the correct one.

This is procedure applies exclusively to DD3300.
