Instructions

A Point in Time Copy (PITC) snapshot for the volume listed in the alert is past its expiration time. Due to the replication, the snapshot will not be allowed to coalesce. This could be due to multiple conditions, and the following should be reviewed: 

  • New replication which has a large amount of data to send.
  • Bandwidth:
    • Ensure that there is enough replication bandwidth for this volume to keep up.
    • Other devices in the environment that saturate the replication link between systems.
  • Connectivity between storage arrays is down.
  • Network:
    • Port and link error statistics
    • Link status between sites
    • Bandwidth utilization of the link vs rated speed
