Connectrix : Cisco : 64Gb devices require reboot post ISSU/64Gb sfp insertion

Symptoms

MDS 64Gb switches (9148V or 9124V) or 64Gb capable line cards (DS-X9748-3072K9) running on code lower than NX-OS 9.3.2.

Post ISSU or 64Gb sfp insertion messages appear.

*Scenario-1: During Post Upgrade to 9.3.2*
%???-4-OLD_MODULE_SERDES_FIRMWARE: Current FC serdes firmware version XXX on module 1 does not support 64 G links.  Reboot module 1 to update to the latest serdes firmware version.
 
*Scenario-2: During 64G SFP insertion in 9.3.2*
*64G LC: DS-X9748-3072K9*
%???-4-OLD_PORT_SERDES_FIRMWARE: 64 Gbps SFP detected on interface fc1/1. Current FC serdes firmware version XXX on module 1 does not support 64 G links.  Reboot module 1 to update to the latest serdes firmware version.
*64G Fabric Switches: 9124V/9148V*

Cause

Cisco bug CSCwd37654  

At codes less than NX-OS 9.3.2, SerDes firmware version support will not support 64Gb links.

Resolution

Fix:

Reload module to attain support for SerDes firmware version at 64Gb.

Note:  Command to check SerDes version: *slot x show hardware internal fcmac serdes-version
