Symptoms

The NetWorker Management Console (NMC) server is installed on a Windows platform.
The NetWorker/NMC upgrade fails during the migration of the NMC Postgres database to a higher version (16). 

Postgres Database Migration to Version 16 Failed

Cause

This issue has been identified as a known product defect. NetWorker engineering opened code fix NETWORKER-120411 for this issue.

Resolution

This issue is scheduled to be fixed in the upcoming NetWorker releases 19.14.0.1 and 19.13.0.4.

The estimated release timelines for the fixes are as follows:
 
  • NetWorker 19.14.0.1: May 2026
  • NetWorker 19.13.0.4: May 2026

WORKAROUND:

As a workaround, create a symbolic link for the latest Postgres installation and point it to postgres_latest.
