Summary: Clusters on OneFS 9.13.0.1 may experience Data Unavailability. This issue affects clusters containing F710 or F910 node hardware.
Symptoms
Clusters running on OneFS 9.13.0.1 may experience Data Unavailability (DU).
Cause
OneFS 9.13.0.1 contains a code issue that may cause Data Unavailability (DU) under certain conditions. This issue occurs on clusters that are using Software Journal Mirroring (SJM).
This issue can occur if all the following conditions are met:
- The cluster is using Software Journal Mirroring (SJM).
- The cluster contains either F710 or F910 nodes.
- The nodes contain 61 TB or 122 TB disk drives.
To confirm if Software Journal Mirroring is enabled on a cluster, run the following command.
# isi storagepool nodepools list -v | grep SJM
Example:
ISILON1-1# isi storagepool nodepools list -v | grep SJM
SJM Enabled: YesResolution
Dell will be releasing a software update to correct this issue for OneFS 9.13.
Customers who plan on upgrading to OneFS 9.13.0.1 should delay the upgrade until the update is available.
