CTA: How to reset the root password at version 10.x

Instructions
This set of instructions is for CTA version 10.0 family only. Do not apply these instructions to any other version. This applies to CTA and CTA/VE. The HA products are included as well.
1.Console access is required to for this procedure. Attach a keyboard and monitor or access the VM console and reboot the appliance.
2.Press the "Esc" key after the BIOS screen during the timeout to load the GRUB menu.
3.On the CTA option press the "e" key to edit the boot commands.
4.On the kernel option press the "e" key to edit the boot sequence.
5.At the end of the line add "init=/bin/bash" without the quotes and press enter to save the change.
6.The screen goes back the GRUB menu. Press "b" on the kernel option to boot.
7.The root file system must be remounted with read/write permission with the following command. # mount -o remount,rw /
8.Type "passwd" to edit the root password.
9.Type "reboot" to reboot the appliance. NOTE: If you are at 10SP3,1, you must type "/sbin/reboot -f"
