Symptoms

Se l'utente tenta di eseguire i comandi seguenti, il servizio non si avvia.

service-control --start --all

service-control --start vmware-updatemgr

vmware-updatemgr

Cause

vmware-updatemgr conteneva ancora informazioni sul certificato SSL del computer vCenter non aggiornate che causavano il problema di mancata corrispondenza.

Resolution

  1. Esaminare il registro vum: /var/log/vmware/vmware-updatemgr/vum-server/vmware-vum-server.log
  2. Verificare se il registro mostra il seguente messaggio di errore:

  4. Per vCenter 7.0.x o versioni successive:
    cd /usr/lib/vmware-updatemgr/bin/ 
    Eseguire lo script Python:

  6. Start vmware-updatemgr del server NMC: 
# service-control --start vmware-updatemgr
