AppSync: Unable to add Local VPLEX cluster in AppSync

Symptoms
Adding VPLEX to AppSync for the first time.
Adding a VPLEX local setup in AppSync fails with the below error:
AppSync then reports that network connectivity between the two management servers of VPLEX Metro cluster is not working.
This message is misleading because this is a VPLEX local setup. There is only one management server.
AppSync Server logs:
Adding a VPLEX local setup in AppSync fails with the below error:
Error 500: Network connectivity between the two cluster management servers of VPLEX metro <IP ADDRESS> is not working. Verify the connectivity status between the management servers of both the clusters.
In the AppSync server logs, a "cluster-connectivity" REST call returns a null response.
AppSync then reports that network connectivity between the two management servers of VPLEX Metro cluster is not working.

Cause
AppSync issues a "cluster-connectivity" REST request. This REST request is not applicable for a VPLEX local setup.

AppSync Engineering has provided a hotfix for AppSync 3.1.
