Instructions

Perform the following steps to verify the authenticity of a Dell Technologies PowerScale .isi package. 

Download the verify_isi.py script that is attached to this KB article. This script runs the same actions that OneFS runs to ensure that a package is valid. The script uses the openssl command line tool and requires OpenSSL 1.1.1 or newer.

To use this script, download both the script and the signed PowerScale image that you want to verify. Run the following command to verify the downloaded package:

python verify_isi.py image.isi

This script requires Python 3.6 or newer.
