Symptoms
PowerEdge systems with the Dell Chicony power supply (X1HXF) may report an "under voltage fault detected" on the power supply.
Error logs example:
PSU0001 Power supply 1 failed.
PWR2500 An issue is observed in a power source on component Power Supply 1, (PS1 PG).
VLT0204 The system board PS1 PG voltage is outside of range.
PSU0034 An under voltage fault detected on power supply 1.
The error clears after reapplying input power to the power supply. However, the same error may recur.
Cause
A sudden internal voltage drop in the power supply causes the issue.
Resolution
Upgrade the power supply firmware to version 00.0E.12 to resolve this issue.
