CloudIQ: Dell SC array: Unable to clear Health Score issue

Summary: How to troubleshoot Dell SC health score issues within CloudIQ.

This article applies to This article does not apply to This article is not tied to any specific product. Not all product versions are identified in this article.

Symptoms

Health Score is not recovered within the CloudIQ user interface even though the health event is corrected and the alert on the controller and Dell Storage Manager is cleared.

Note: CloudIQ cannot clear any alerts or health events from within the CloudIQ user interface. CloudIQ receives its information from the array management side and requires an "all clear" from the array side before it removes an alert or health event.

Cause

CloudIQ has not received the "all clear" from the array side.

Resolution

For Dell SC arrays, it may require additional troubleshooting starting with logging into the system and running an alert show command. If an entry is found in the alert table, then this must be cleared. Once CloudIQ receives the new information, then it clears the alert or health event from the user interface.

The Dell Storage Manager (DSM) has 500 line limits, so you may find that an alert was not cleared at the time, so the following commands can be run to clear it.  These commands remove any old alerts but you want to verify that they are not new alerts.
