Symptoms

  • Unable to uninstall or remove the NetWorker Software on Windows from Control Panel
  • Uninstall Wizard starts but does not complete at the end of the procedure.
  • The uninstallation log reports the following error:

Cause

This issue appears if the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or NetWorker Runtime Environment (NRE) that NetWorker uses is uninstalled before NetWorker.

Resolution

  1. Reinstall the NetWorker Runtime Environment for your NetWorker version: NetWorker: Runtime Environment (NRE) Releases
  2. Once NRE is installed, uninstall NetWorker
