Instructions

PURPOSE:

Determining the file system cleaning schedule and setting the schedule.

APPLIES TO: 

  • All Data Domain systems

ISSUE:

Cleaning is not running when expected because the schedule is set wrong.

SOLUTION:

  1. Connect to the DDOS command line through SSH or the serial console.
  2. Verify the status of cleaning: # filesys clean status
  3. Verify the current cleaning schedule: # filesys clean show schedule
  4. Set the new schedule for cleaning as required. For example, to run cleaning once per week on Tuesday at 0600, use this syntax: # filesys clean set schedule tue "06:00"

  1. Verify that you have set the schedule as required: # filesys clean show schedule
  2. Start a cleaning if necessary: # filesys clean start
