Data accidentally deleted on ECS

  • By default, all data mapped for deletion on Objectscale/ECS is moved to Space Reclamation (SR) process. If either data or metadata has been removed by SR, then this is permanent and will not be recoverable.
  • If either data or metadata has been removed by SR, then this is permanent and will not be recoverable. Accidental deletion of objects is not a supported recovery scenario.
  • Dell ECS Support does not perform data recovery operations for deleted customer data. If deletion has occurred, support may assist in validating the deletion event and reviewing system behavior; however, restoration of deleted objects must be performed using customer-managed data protection solutions.
