Symptoms
The initial deletion attemp may have been partial only , and a follow up command line cleanup may be required.
Deleting a LUN replication session from the destination not the source can cause a hung replication process that could result in the below errors.
Trying to delete the session from source side will result in error: (Error Code:0x6500051)
Trying to create another replication session can cause the below:

- Non recoverable error on source side
Trying to delete the session from source side will result in error: (Error Code:0x6500051)
Trying to create another replication session can cause the below:
- Failed: Source in use by another replication process (Error Code:0x9ef4)
- Failed: The specified LUN name has already been reserved or LUN with this name already exists. (Error Code:0x6701140)
- It can also cause orphaned system (Replication) snapshots that cannot be deleted.
Resolution
The replication session can to be deleted via command line interface , using service tools svc_dataprotection.
